My Story
Hi! I’m Arjun Khandrika, and I’m 8 years old. I’m in 3rd grade at Deerfield School in Short Hills, NJ.
I love to sing songs, play the piano, and I’m also learning to play the violin. One of my favorite things is making my own little songs on the piano — it’s super fun!
I started Singing Sprouts because I wanted to make music with other kids like me — kids who love singing, playing, and creating music together! I dreamed of a fun, happy place where we can share ideas, jam, and create awesome melodies.

At Singing Sprouts, our mentors believe that genuine laughter lights up creativity. Every session is designed to gamify practice, making learning fun and engaging — no matter the age.

We set creative challenges within both short-term practice sessions and long-term musical planning, helping sprouts grow skills while staying curious and motivated.
Personal Interests Matter:
We leave room for pieces and projects that the young minds genuinely enjoy, encouraging original ideas inspired by their experiences. The more they see themselves in the process, the more connected and invested they become.
Break the Routine:
Exploration is key — we introduce new genres, innovative methods, and revisit favorite classics as refreshers.

Abhinav Khandrika
Abhinav Khandrika is a violist, violin instructor, and interdisciplinary artist pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Viola Performance and Chemical Engineering at the University of Michigan. Blending the precision of engineering with the creativity of music, Abhinav brings a thoughtful and well-rounded perspective to both performance and teaching.
He currently serves as violin instructor to his younger brother, nurturing his growth as a developing musician while fostering a deep appreciation for artistry, discipline, and expression. Through his teaching, Abhinav emphasizes musical understanding over rote technique, encouraging curiosity and personal connection to every piece.
Beyond instruction, Abhinav performs in a wide range of settings—from solo and chamber music to orchestral ensembles—and continues to explore the intersections between science, sound, and human expression through his studies and creative projects.
Rhea Menon
I have been passionate about music since the age of 5 and have spent nearly a decade developing my voice and performance skills. Now a high school junior, I continue to grow as both a performer and a leader in my school and community. With years of experience in vocal performance and ensemble work, I am excited to share my love for singing by mentoring and managing the next generation of young performers. With patience and keen attention to detail, I ensure every singer shines.
